Guidance on the occurrence and detection ratings is better, and they also look at severity ratings for the process (e.g. potential risk to workers, continuity of operations) as well as the product.
Assessment Procedure Obtain current copy of CQI-9 Special Process: Heat Treat System Assessment Guideline from AIAG. • Identify all heat treat processes to which Special Process: Heat Treat System Assessment Guideline CQI-9 applies. Record these processes on the HTSA.
Completion of Quality Verification requires 16 of the 19 elements of PPAP as stated in the AIAG PPAP manual, 3rd Edition (See Appendix D) (all items except item (13) PSW, (14) Appearance Approval, and (17) Master Sample).
